Cookies used on this site

A short account of what this static site stores in your browser, and how Accept and Reject on the banner actually behave.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a site stores on your device. They can remember a choice (such as whether you accepted analytics) or help a host see which pages were opened. They are not required for you to read our audits or to send the office form.

Types we use

Essential. The banner records your Accept or Reject choice in localStorage under the key utilitystudiopath_cookie_consent. That record is what stops the banner returning on every page load. It does not identify you to us.

Analytics. Only if you press Accept. These help us see which notes and audit pages are opened, in aggregate. If you press Reject, analytics cookies are not set. The site, the form, and the briefings remain available either way.

We do not use advertising cookies. We do not run a third-party pixel for remarketing.

_usp_page (if Accept)Approximate count of page opens for our own notes6 monthsUtilitystudiopath
_usp_ref (if Accept)Records whether a visit began on /services/ or /blog/24 hoursUtilitystudiopath

The two _usp_ rows are set only after Accept. On a fresh Reject they are not written. If you accepted earlier and now refuse, clear site data for utilitystudiopath.click or write to us and we will treat future visits as rejected from our side as far as a static host allows.

How to manage or disable cookies

Use Accept or Reject on the banner. You can also block cookies in your browser settings, or use the browser’s site-data controls to delete what is already stored. Disabling all cookies may make the banner reappear because it cannot remember your last choice.

Third-party cookies

The pages load typefaces from Google Fonts. Google may receive your IP address as part of that request. That is a third-party connection, not a cookie we set. We do not load advertising networks.

Impact of disabling

Rejecting analytics does not hide rates, audits, or the contact form. Blocking all cookies and localStorage may show the banner again and will not otherwise stop you reading.

For how we handle the contents of the form itself, see the privacy notice.
